NEC presents its first Slimline ReWriteable drive - the NR-8500A
NEC has introduced its high speed CD-RW drive, capable of writing to CD-R same as writing or rewriting to CD-RW discs 8x speed and reading CD-ROM media at 24x max. speed with a access time of 150 ms. The NR-8500 offers fast and highly reliable writer and rewritable technology inside a super slim form factor.
Besides writing and rewriting CD-RW media for fast backup, personal file storage and CD prototyping, users can permanently burn low-cost CD-R discs for distribution and archiving, fully compatible with existing CD storage standards.
By using JustLink™ the NR-8500 is equipped with the most enhanced burn proof technology which prevents buffer under run errors. In addition the NR-8500 takes advance of NEC's "high resolution writing strategy" and NEC's "active optimum power control" (Active OPC).
