The XM-6401B offers the user unrivalled price performance for a SCSI CD-ROM. Equipped with an ULTRA SCSI interface and 256KB data buffer the XM-6401B offers fast data transfer rates and incredibly fast random access time of 80ms and random seek time of 75ms.
This improved performance meets the high-speed data processing requirements of multimedia computers and high expectations of users. The XM-6401B employs full CAV (Constant Angular Velocity) to enable detailed moving images to be transferred smoothly and very quickly. Delivering a massive data transfer rate of 5 MB/sec, the XM-6401 excels with Toshiba's industry leading error correction software in reading CD-R and CD-RW discs as well as high speed CD-DA and raw data transfers.
